Steeped in classic luxury, the historic Victorian-era building underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment to transform into Fable Dunedin, the city's first 5-star hotel. Precious design elements of the original building dating back to 1862 have been carefully preserved and add a sophisticated touch to the contemporary feel throughout. Located in the centre of Dunedin, the hotel is just a short walk from the Octagon city centre and the many shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues that the city has to offer. Visits to many of Dunedin’s best attractions, including Speights Brewery, the Cadbury Factory, and special wildlife cruises, can easily be arranged. Hotel facilities include a 24-hour reception, elevator to take you to the upper floors, complimentary WiFi throughout, a cafe-style restaurant that is open daily and offers regional cuisine, 24-hour room service, valet car parking, concierge services, and meeting facilities. All of the 50 guest rooms and suites offer air conditioning, a safe, LCD televisions with 32 SKY channels, Movielink and Chromecast, an alarm clock with multiple USB ports, tablet-controlled telephone, voicemail, room service and compendium, mini-bar refrigerator, and complimentary tea and coffee.
