The predecessor of Yamae Onsen "Hotaru" is "Yamae Fish Farm" which opened on July 11, 1971. At that time, the guest rooms were designed in the image of a houseboat, and served mainly fish dishes, somen nagashi in the summer, and botan nabe in the winter. After that, a similar facility was built in the county city, but it was temporarily closed due to deterioration of the facility. In October of the following year, a lodging facility called "Hotaru-tei" was constructed, which was one of the first similar facilities in the county city to welcome many visitors. In December 2002, the hot spring facility was reopened after renovation, and in September of the following year, a product hall was built on the adjacent site. In December 2004, the old hot spring building was remodeled and two rooms each with an open-air bath and a cypress bath were prepared. Furthermore, in December 2014, we improved our facilities by refurbishing our open-air baths and introducing Super Mice Ion Hot Springs, etc., and have now become a base for tourism, exchange, and local products.
