COMO Maalifushi is the first and only resort located on the unspoilt Thaa Atoll, in the southern reaches of the Maldives archipelago. Surrounded by uninhabited islands, world-class surf breaks, and thriving marine life, the resort offers direct access to a private sandy beach with complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas. Island Port is just 0.3 km (0.2 mi) away. Velana International Airport (MLE) is approximately 170 km from the resort, with a roundtrip airport shuttle available for a surcharge at scheduled times. Designed by Japanese architect Koichiro Ikebuchi, the resort reflects a sensitive approach to nature and cultural authenticity through its clean design. Accommodations feature high rafters, teak floors, New Zealand pine, and Kajan thatched roofs. Floor-to-ceiling windows and large decks seamlessly connect spaces to the natural surroundings. The resort offers 65 individually decorated rooms, suites, overwater villas, and Residences, including multi-room villas situated both above water and within tropical gardens. Each accommodation is crafted for comfort, featuring air conditioning, private patios or balconies/terraces, iPod docking stations, minibars, coffee/tea makers, bottled water, premium bedding with down comforters, and complimentary wireless internet access. Entertainment is provided by 46-inch flat-screen televisions with satellite/cable programming. Partially open bathrooms include bathtubs or showers, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, and hair dryers. Safes are available in rooms.
