COMO Shambhala Estate is a unique, villa-style luxury health retreat nestled in a tranquil 23-acre jungle setting north of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Located on a lush riverbank, it's a 15-minute drive from Ubud and approximately an hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), which is 45.7 km (28.4 mi) away. Airport transfer services are available for a surcharge and can be pre-booked, with an airport representative greeting guests upon arrival. Complimentary valet parking is available on-site. The estate features 30 individually decorated guestrooms, each offering a private balcony or patio. Rooms are equipped with Tempur-Pedic beds, down comforters, Egyptian cotton sheets, LED televisions, DVD players, satellite programming, and iPod docking stations. Guests will find complimentary wired and wireless internet access, air conditioning, blackout curtains, linen service, bottled water, a coffee/tea maker, instant tea, and a mini-bar. Selected rooms also feature separate living rooms. Bathrooms include separate bathtubs and showers, deep soaking bathtubs, rainfall showerheads, hair dryers, toiletries, bathrobes, and towels. Dining options include two restaurants, such as Glow, a coffee shop/cafe for snacks, and a bar/lounge for evening entertainment. Full breakfasts are available daily from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM for a fee, and guests can enjoy excellent coffee on-site. 24-hour room service is provided, and BBQ facilities are available. The resort is dedicated to wellness, offering a comprehensive spa with massages, body treatments, and facials. Recreational facilities include a health club, an outdoor pool, an outdoor tennis court, a fitness center, Kedara spring pools, a gym, a Pilates studio, and a yoga bale. Daily group activities like yoga, qi gong, and meditation are also offered. Guests can unwind with a hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Additional amenities and services include concierge services, gift shops/newsstands, a business center, express check-in/out, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, ticket and tour assistance, laundromat, dry cleaning, laundry service, and daily housekeeping. An executive lounge is also available. For navigating Bali, taxi, car hire, and shuttle amenities are provided, with an area shuttle available for nearby attractions (surcharge). Please note: COMO Shambhala Estate will be closed for renovations from January 21st to February 21st, 2025. During this period, the wellness center Ojas will remain closed until the end of June 2025. Some facilities, including indoor treatment rooms, the hydrotherapy pool, swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms, and yoga pavilion, will be unavailable. However, guests can still enjoy the Kedara spring pools, gym, Pilates studio, yoga bale, and a variety of COMO Shambhala treatments, along with daily group activities. Guests staying during this time will receive a complimentary daily three-course lunch or dinner. In accordance with local regulations, all visitors must remain within the property for a 24-hour period (starting at 6 AM) during Seclusion Day (Nyepi)/Hindu New Year, which typically falls in March or April (dates subject to change). Check-in and check-out will not be possible on this date, and Ngurah Rai Airport is also closed. Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the resort, with designated smoking zones available. Nearby attractions include Mango Tree Spa (5.3 km), Neka Art Museum (7.4 km), Ubud Traditional Art Market, Ubud Palace (both within a 15-minute drive), and Ubud Monkey Forest (10.8 km).
