It's a 1-minute drive from Dunnet Bay Beach, 5 minutes from Dunnet Bay Distillery, and minutes from the Castle of Mey. It is also near surfing and fishing at Dunnet Bay and close to all three Orkney ferry ports, including Scrabster Ferry Terminal (11.5 km / 7.2 mi).
